Stepping Out For Youth Gala
3rd Annual Stepping Out for Youth Gala Surpasses Goal; Raises $14,800!
The third annual Stepping Out for Youth Gala to benefit Lakes Area Youth Service Bureau took place at Jimmy’s Conference & Catering in Vadnais Heights on Saturday evening, October 27 2007.
Forest Lake native and KARE 11 reporter Karla Hult (pictured at right) acted as Master of Ceremonies. One hundred thirty-two guests attended the event. Dick and Erin Gross were this year’s Honorary Chair Couple. Kathy Bakke led Steering Committee efforts. Butler-passed champagne and hors d'oeuvres were enjoyed during the pre-dinner reception. Cliff Brunzell and the Golden Strings strolled among attendees during the reception, took requests during dinner and provided music for dancing after the live auction. Auctioneer Ultan Duggan (Mendota Heights) skillfully called 28 items (14 of these were unset gemstones donated for the occasion), raising nearly $8,000.
